Results month is here. A-level students collect their grades on Thursday 13 August, and GCSE students follow a week later on Thursday 20 August.
To every student opening an envelope this month, whether you studied with us or not: we wish you all the very best.
The Work Is Already Done
By now, there is nothing left to revise and nothing left to prove. The late evenings, the past papers, the topics that finally clicked after the third attempt: all of that work is already banked. Whatever the envelope says, it cannot take any of that away.
We have watched students give a great deal of themselves this year. We have seen nerves turned into preparation, doubt turned into steady effort, and difficult topics faced rather than avoided.
That effort is worth being proud of, whatever the numbers say next week.
Whatever the Result
Some of you will open results that exceed every prediction. Enjoy that moment properly. You earned it.
Some of you will see grades that land short of what you hoped. If that happens, know this: a results slip records one performance on one day. It does not measure your ability, and it certainly does not decide your future. There are always routes forward, and they are usually closer and more open than they feel in the moment.
To the parents refreshing their phones that morning: your calm matters more than you know. Celebrate the wins, soften the disappointments, and remind your child that you are proud of the person, not the number.
To the Class of 2026
To our own students: thank you for your effort, your persistence and your trust this year. It has been our privilege to teach you.
To every student across the country: well done on getting through the season. Wishing you the best of luck on the day, and every success in whatever comes next, whether that is sixth form, A-levels, university or a path you have not discovered yet.
The future is long, and it is yours.
